Ms. Folakemi Fatogbe CRM

Director Risk Management, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)

Ms. Folakemi Fatogbe is the Director of Risk Management at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Prior to her appointment at the CBN, she had a twenty-year long career in the banking industry (mostly in the United Kingdom), during which she worked with organisations like the Bank of England (as a Senior Risk Analyst), Natwest Group (as a strategist), Lloyds TSB (as a Basel II Risk Consultant), NCR Teradata (as a Programme Director), and the Financial Services Authority.

Folakemi joined the Central Bank of Nigeria in October 2009 as Special Adviser to the Governor - Risk Management. She was appointed Director of the newly created Risk Management Department with effect from March 1, She has an MBA in Finance & International Business from the University of Wales, Cardiff Business School (1992) and is a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) 2010


Dr. Jude Monye CRM

Executive Director, Heritage Bank Ltd

Dr Monye joined the Bank as the Executive Director, Enterprise Risk Management and Chief Risk Officer in April 2015. Prior to this appointment, he was the Chief Risk Officer of Wema Bank Plc., He had also at various times served as the Risk Officer and Chief Risk Officer at Citibank Nigeria and Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank) respectively.

He has over 23 years’ experience covering relationship management, credit risk management, control & Audit, credit management, financial control and business development. He was also the hedge fund administrator at State Street Bank and Trust Corporation, Toronto, Canada.

He is a graduate of University of Nigeria, Nsukka with Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Master’s Degrees in Managerial Psychology (University of Ibadan) and Projects Management (Schulich Business School, York University, Canada), he aslo has an MBA from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is member of Urban Financial Services Coalition (UFSC), Toronto, Canada, Global Association of Risk Professional, Risk Managers Association of Nigeria, Institute of Credit Administration and Honorary, Member Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.


Mr. Magnus NnokaCRM

Chief Risk Officer, Coronation Merchant Bank

Mr. Magnus Nnoka has over 20 years' experience in the banking sector that cut across banks and core areas of Treasury, Branch Management/ Operations and Enterprise Risk Management where he has spent over 15 years and developed expertise in different areas of risk management. He has worked and held Senior Management positions at Banks like Equitorial Trust Bank, Diamond Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank of Nigeria, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc where he was the Deputy General Manager in Risk Management Directorate and currently in Coronation Merchant Bank where he is the Chief Risk Officer.

He holds a first degree in Economics, MBA in Marketing and Masters of Risk Management. He is as well an Alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School Senior Management Programme. Magnus is a registered member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and Business Continuity Institute UK; Fellow, The Institute for Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Professionals and Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management. He was at different times 2nd and 1st National Vice-President of RIMAN.

A Certified Trainer, Magnus has attended various professional, management and leadership courses both locally and off shore and spends spare time to facilitate risk management Programs at different professional training centres.


Mr. Olumide Olayinka CRM

Partner & Head Risk Consulting, KPMG

Olumide is the Partner & Head of the Risk Consulting Group of KPMG Advisory Services, which comprises IT Advisory, Internal Audit, Financial Risk Management, Accounting Advisory and Forensic services. As Risk Consulting Partner, Olumide has over 23 years of experience in varied sectors of the Nigerian economy.

In the course of his career with KPMG, Olumide was seconded to KPMG South Africa office in 1996, where he led several IT advisory engagements. He has served as Engagement Partner on information technology and Risk Management in Nigeria and a several of African Countries.

He is currently the National Information Technology Security Officer (NITSO) for KPMG Nigeria.

Olumide has a degree in Civil Engineering from University of Lagos; He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is Certified in the Governance of IT, a Certified Information System Auditor and Certified Information Security Manager. He also has ITIL Foundation Certification and is a member of information Systems Auditor and Control Association.


Dr. Gregory Jobome CRM

Executive Director and Chief Risk Officer, Access Bank Plc / Ex–President, RIMAN

Dr. Gregory Ovie Jobome serves as an Executive Director and Chief Risk Officer of Access Bank Plc. He has been appointed President of Risk Managers Association of Nigeria (RIMAN), an umbrella body of risk professionals comprising both institutional and individual members in the financial services sector. Prior to joining the Bank, Dr. Jobome had consulted for Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) on a range of risk-related projects, including risk policy, risk strategy, risk automation and Basel II capacity building. Previously, he had also lectured at the University of Manchester Business School, where he covered risk management, corporate governance, finance and emerging economies. Dr. Jobome holds a first class degree in Economics from the University of Maiduguri and an MBA, with distinction, from the Obafemi Awolowo University. He also holds Master of Science, under a Bank of England Fellowship, and PhD in Economics and Finance from Loughborough University, UK.


Mr. Abraham Amkpa CRM

Principal Associate, Capital Vanguard Associates Ltd

Mr. Abraham Amkpa, is the Managing Associate of Capital Vanguard Limited, and the immediate past Executive Secretary of Risk Managers Association of Nigeria. Mr. Amkpa has over 30 years’ experience in banking, financial and management consulting. He was also a Publisher/ Editor of "Credit Risk & Lenders' Deskmate" for eleven years (1997-2008); a quarterly journal on contemporary lending and risk issues targeted at the financial industry.

Other organization which he has taken up roles include, Publisher- Consumer Banking Bulletin (2007-2009), Pioneer General Manager, NPF Microfinance Bank Plc. (formerly Nigeria Police Community Bank Ltd) 1993-1994 and ICON Limited (Merchant Bankers), 1980-1993; he left as Head, Special Credits. During this period, he also worked with ICON Stockbrokers Limited, having qualified as an Authorized Clerk of the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1983. Mr Akmpa holds a B.Sc in Economics, from Ahmadu Bello University, he also holds an MBA from Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT).


Mr. Austin Okere

Founder & Executive Vice Chairman, CWG Plc

Austin Okere is the Founder & Executive Vice Chairman, CWG Plc and Entrepreneur in Residence, Columbia Business School, New York.

He is a member of the World Economic Forum Business Council on Innovation and Intrapreneurship. He serves on the Board of the National Competitiveness Council of Nigeria and Initiative for Global Development, a Washington based nonprofit organization that drives poverty reduction by catalyzing business growth and investment in the developing world. Austin Okere is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria, as well as a Fellow of the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS), and serves as a member of the Advisory Council of the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON).

Austin Okere was named ICT Personality of the year 2014 by the Nigerian Computer Society, ICT Man of the Decade by ICT Watch Africa Digital Network in 2012; ICT Personality of the year by Technology Africa in 2010; and most outstanding ICT Personality of the Decade by ICT Watch Africa in 2010. His interests include mentoring and inspiring young people to achieve their full potential.

His Company Computer Warehouse Group (NSE: CWG PLC) is the largest security in the ICT sector of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. CWG is a Pan-African Systems Integrator with operations in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda and Cameroon with annual turnover of over $100m and about 650 employees across the Group. The company provides technology solutions that enable growth with aspiration to be the number one Cloud Platform Provider in Africa by 2020.


Professor Olayinka David-West

Professor David-West is an information systems (IS) professional with over two decades experience in the Nigerian IT industry.

With a passion for the effective use of IT in business, Professor David-West not only makes IT understandable, but assists organisations seeking business value from information and related technologies through systematic decision making and managerial processes. She is currently a senior fellow in the Operations, Information Systems and Marketing Division of Lagos Business School. She is also academic director at Lagos Business School and Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of the Pan-Atlantic University respectively.

Professor David-West holds a doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Manchester Business School; an MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University, London; and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos. In her doctoral thesis, Prof David-West investigated the performance of electronic banking systems that resulted in the development of EBQUAL, a scale to measure consumer perceptions of electronic banking quality. Her research interests are centered around the managerial practices in support of information systems in business including, but not limited to systems planning and development.


Mrs. Stella Ojekwe-Onyejeli

Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer

Mrs. Ojekwe-Onyejeli brings more than 25 years of financial advisory, controls, governance and risk management experience to the Board of NSIA. Prior to the realignment of her portfolio for the Chief Operating Officer role and reappointment for a second term by the President of Nigeria, she had served as NSIA’s Executive Direction and Chief Risk Officer from 2012 to 2017.

She joined the Authority on 15th October 2012, following a distinguished tenure as Director and Head of Operational Risk and Control at Barclays, where she covered 15 countries spanning Africa, Middle East and Asia. Prior to this, she was a Vice President and Head of Quality Assurance, Africa, at Citibank, with direct oversight of the enterprise risk and control environment in 14 countries across Africa. Hitherto, she spent over a decade at professional services firms Arthur Anderson and KPMG in Nigeria and South Africa, providing financial advisory and business assurance services.

Mrs. Ojekwe-Onyejeli is a qualified Chartered Financial and Tax Accountant as well as a scholar of the Federal Government of Nigeria and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria prize winner. She holds a first degree in Chemistry from the University of Lagos, a master’s Degree in Business Administration obtained from Cranfield School of Management, United Kingdom and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

In addition to serving on the Board of NSIA, she also serves on the Boards of Infrastructure Credit Guarantee Company Limited, Bridge International Academies Ltd and Verod Capital Fund I (Advisory).
